Community Development
At Melin, we believe that our role as a landlord goes further than simply providing homes. To us, it means creating active communities in which our residents want to play an active role and where they are happy to live.
Our community development programme is central to our commitment to helping to sustain effective communities for all of our residents. Our Community Development Officers work with our residents and their families to improve the areas where they live.
One example of this is our award winning youth sports initiative.
In addition, Melin's Jump fund provides grants of up to £250 for groups and organisations that benefit our residents and the communities in which we operate.
The Jump fund can sponsor a wide range of projects including sport and youth clubs, environmental improvement schemes and those for social gain.
Melin residents, voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations working within our communities can apply for sponsorship from the Jump fund. All applications must demonstrate how they will benefit our communities.
