Sheltered Accommodation
Sheltered accommodation provides homes designed to meet older people's needs. Bathrooms and kitchens are more accessible for residents who may have mobility problems. In addition, sheltered housing will often contain other aids such as wider doors, ramps, lower steps etc, which will help residents maintain an independent lifestyle.
Sheltered accommodation can offer:
The Scheme Manager is employed to provide unobtrusive support to residents and is available to answer queries, and provide any help or advice.
The Scheme Manager will not provide any medical, nursing or cleaning services for individual residents, but will assist in arranging for these services to be provided by other bodies such as Social Services.

- An on-site Scheme Manager and an emergency alarm system.
- No on-site Scheme Manager, but an emergency alarm system.
