- Melin is a Charitable, Industrial and Provident society.
- Melin was formed in April 2007 when Gwerin Housing and Eastern Valley Housing Associations merged.
- We own and manage almost 3,000 homes across south east Wales.
- Our homes are spread across five local authroity areas: Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire, Newport, Powys and Torfaen.
- Melin employs about 150 staff, based in our offices in Newport, Abergavenny and Pontypool.
- We manage ten sheltered housing complexes providng supported living for residents age 55 and over.
- Melin is governed by a Board of management with 15 members 3 of whom are residents. The current chair is Doiran Jones JP.
- We have a Resident's Panel who represent the views of residents and help shape our policies and procedures.
