Residents Panel
The Residents’ Panel is an independent body of volunteers elected by Melin residents to represent their views.
The Panel has 12 members and we play an integral part in the creation of policies and procedures for Melin to help to ensure that residents get the services they need and want.
We have our own budget which is used to attend conferences, receive training, carry out small works and landscaping projects as well as pay for the expenses of those attending meetings. We meet every fortnight to discuss and resolve issues. Latest Panel News.
Interested in joining?
If you are interested in joining the panel and taking an active role in promoting the interests of residents we want to hear from you. Elections take place every year in September.
Panel members are re-imbursed for travel expenses and receive an attendance voucher for every fortnightly meeting they attend. Each meeting lasts about 3 hours.
