Melin Homebuy is thrilled to share the news that we have completed the sale of our properties on the new Blue Lake Close development in Ebbw Vale. The development was brought to fruition through a partnership between Melin Homes, Lovell, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council and Welsh Government.
A new partnership development project has started on site in Portskewett, Monmouthshire, after plans were approved in February 2020. Partners from Melin Homes, Candleston, and Monmouthshire County Council have been working on plans for the area since 2016.
The final affordable homes at Golwg Y Bryn – a £16.8 million partnership housing development in Ebbw Vale – have now been handed over to the last tenants, marking the completion of the development.Golwg Y Bryn – which was built in collaboration with Melin Homes, Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, the Welsh Government and developer Lovell – has seen a total of 100 homes constructed on the former quarry off Waun-Y-Pound Road.
We met with Vistry Partnerships and Newport City Council at our partnership £7.5million regeneration project in Pill met last week to see how work on the development of 47 new apartments was progressing. The build has entered its final phase. The roof has been put on the timber framed building and internal work is underway.
A significant redevelopment of older people’s accommodation in Pill starts this month with the demolition of an ‘outdated’ empty block of flats.
