Working through the morning, the team from Solar Windows did a fantastic job building the beds and filling them with earth ready for the residents to plant in them. Several curious residents came outside to chat with the workers during the morning and were full of praise for their efforts.

Many of the residents at Hammett Court are keen gardeners and so they are now excited to pick some seeds and get planting for what we hope is a bumper harvest in 2022!

The appropriately named Jo Gardner, Scheme Manager at Hammett Court, expressed her thanks to Solar Windows and Robert Price Builders Merchants.

She said: “The residents of Hammett Court were thrilled to have John and the team from Solar Windows back to help build the new raised garden beds.

“The new beds look fantastic and we can’t wait to see them come to life after the winter! We would like to thank the teams at Solar Windows and Robert Price Builders Merchants for their support and assistance – we are all very grateful.”

Dean Read, Commercial Sales Manager at Solar Windows said: “Key to Solar Windows’ success has been a partnership based on honesty and trust. On refurbishment projects we make every effort to develop a collaborative and progressive working relationship with many of our social landlord customers and to achieve this we have always engaged with their residents every step of the way.

“On a recent project at Hammett Court, Monmouth, we carried out the supply and installation of new fire doors. Whilst on site we observed that the residents were passionate gardeners, so we thought building some new raised garden beds would be a great idea.

“Our Commercial Installation teams worked through the morning building and preparing the flower beds ready for planting and the residents took a keen interest which was great to see.”

Melin would like to thank Solar Windows Ltd and Robert Price Builders Merchants for engaging with our residents and for making their Melin community an even nicer place to live. We look forward to continuing to work with Solar Windows and Robert Price on future projects.
