Foodbanks are seeing a surge in people needing their support and are in desperate need of donations. If you can donate food or volunteer your time why not visit the Trussell Trust website they partner with communities and churches to provide local food banks and help stop UK hunger. If you need a foodbank voucher, you will need to be referred, for more detailed information visit the Trussell Trust website. Foodbanks work with different frontline professionals who can help refer you; such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, housing associations and the Citizens Advice. The Trussell Trust has worked with nutritionists to ensure food parcels contains sufficient nutrition for at least three days worth of healthy, balanced meals for individuals and families.
