Energy advice helps Ken

Ken from Pontypool was in danger of being in fuel poverty when our Energy Advisor David Wallace stepped in and helped him out. Ken owed over £600 on his electricity and was stressed about the debt. After working with Ken and the electricity provider David managed to reduce his debt completely and agree an affordable monthly bill. David was also able to pass Ken’s information to Gavin his colleague on the Income and Inclusion team, who is now working with Ken to give him money advice.
We spoke to Ken who wanted us to know how much he appreciated the help he’d been given.
“Being in debt is really stressful and that can take a toll on your health. I really appreciate all David and Gavin have done for me. The advice was excellent, and you can talk to them so easily they totally put you at ease. Without that help I wouldn’t be in the position I am now. I would be in more debt and stress. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel now.”
