Bringing the benefits of building new affordable homes to the community

We are building 33 new affordable homes in the Penywain area of Pontypool and to ensure the positive impact of these homes is as wide-reaching as possible, we teamed up with our contractors Bluefield Land to benefit the local community.
As part of the community benefits project, last week we celebrated the new picnic benches we donated to Padre Pio Primary School with a selection of cakes and fruit.
The project also gave apprentice carpenter Joshua Evans some valued experience. Through our shared apprenticeship scheme Y Prentis, Joshua went to work with Bluefield on the Avalon Place project and he happily volunteered to build all the benches.
We love having the benches and they're 'almost, but not quite, as good as cake'
