Dementia Friends
The Alzheimer's Society has announced that there are now two million dementia friends across the country and here at Melin we have helped 189 of that two million to become dementia friends.

Our Living Well Manager has been spreading the word to young and old(er) about how to be more dementia friendly. Shona Martin has delivered training to people living at our Cwmbran Extra Care Scheme Ty George Lansbury as well as talking to young volunteers on our youth forum The Volume. The training helps others to learn more about what it is like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into action.
