Melin Homes named in the top 10 in the UK in the Inside Housing Innovation Index
Melin Homes is celebrating after being named in the top 10 in the UK in the Inside Housing Innovation Index and the top in Wales.

Melin Homes is celebrating after being named in the top 10 in the UK in the Inside Housing Innovation Index and the top in Wales. The Inside Housing Innovation Index identifies the registered social landlords (RSL’s) with the most innovative organisational cultures placed Melin Homes 9th in the UK and 1st across similar organisations around Wales. 3,000 people from 356 RSL’s, ALMOs and local authority landlords filled in the survey. To come up with the index, Inside Housing send out a 68-part questionnaire, which staff at the various organisation’s complete online.
Peter Crockett, Deputy Chief Executive at Melin, who attended the launch event in Birmingham said; “What is so pleasing about this result is that staff were able to give their own views on the culture at Melin and our approach to innovation. It’s great to see our core beliefs about the type of employer and organisation we want to be shine through in staff feedback in a nationally recognised award. We hope to continue to improve our placing in the index next year and are also speaking to staff and residents on how to improve.”
Inside Housing carries out this research with Dolphin Index, which collects the data and groups it into 13 categories.
