We do all we can to look after your home, but we also take pride in helping to build communities. At Melin, we are about more than just bricks and mortar. We love getting involved with our communities, engaging with our residents and getting to know them better.

Our events

Throughout the year, we run a variety of events for our communities including children’s fun days, craft classes, bingo/quiz sessions and so much more. We often partner with community groups, local councils and other housing associations to reach out as far as we can.

Melin Voices

As well as running community events, we are committed to working together with our residents in all that we do. That’s why we our vibrant and passionate resident engagement group, Melin Voices.

Melin Voices has grown in recent years to encompass hundreds of our residents who want to have their say in the work that we do. They participate in regular surveys and focus groups and we also have some sub-groups of the Voices which focus on specific areas of development, such as community and customer service.

Community funding

Another important area of work for our Communities Team is funding. Our Jump2 Fund can award small grants (up to £250) to local groups/charities/organisations working to make an impact in Melin communities.

The Jump2 fund also has an education component and Melin residents can apply to Jump2 for up to £250 towards the costs of training/education.
