Melin Homes sign repairs partnership securing 25 local jobs

Melin Homes has announced a partnership with Cwmbran based repairs contractor Glanmor Developments to manage the repairs for its homes across south east Wales. The agreement, which secures at 25 local jobs for at least five years, will mean Glanmor will be Melin’s main Reactive and Planned works contractor.

Glanmor sign an agreement with Melin's directors

Melin Homes has announced a partnership with Cwmbran based repairs contractor Glanmor Developments to manage the repairs for its homes across south east Wales. The agreement, which secures at 25 local jobs for at least five years, will mean Glanmor will be Melin’s main Reactive and Planned works contractor.

Melin have over 3,900 homes across Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire, Newport, Powys and Torfaen, with Glanmor taking over this month.

Dave Cook, Director of Customer Services at Melin said; “Residents tell us that repairs is one of the most important services that we provide. We are delighted to have chosen Glanmor to deliver this vital service and secure the minimum of 25 jobs in the local area.”

Brian Little Director of Glanmor Developments said; “We see this very much as local investment that provides jobs, training opportunities and growth in the economy in South East Wales. We are excited to start working with Melin and understand that we are very much the face of Melin for residents when we are out in communities they work in.”

The contract period will commence April 2015 and end March 2020, with an option for extending the contract for a further 5 years. Residents can expect to see dual branded vans on Melin estates and have been told via letter of the change in repair contractor.
